Mayan Palace Riviera Maya. Have it listed but never any interest. This offer $40000 and I pay fees (5x$1000). Said no fees, would sell at $20K, what we paid.

We do get periodic calls re selling.

Is this a scam too?

Your first post of over six years ago dealt with this same issue of selling this same Timeshare. Hopefully you can find a solution if you want to really unload it.

Anyone who contacts you out of the blue is simply trying to reach into your pocket and STEAL your hard earned money.

DO NOT send anyone money (or upfront fees) to sell your unit. They will hide it as some type of expense, Mexico Tax, etc. There is no incentive for them to do squat once you give them any money.

Question: Would you pay upfront money to sell your home? Of course not. Your sale will come out of the proceeds......

These offers are ALWAYS scams. They will get you hooked, and then weasel some fake fees out of you and disappear with your money. You will have no legal recourse because the scammers and your money will be out of the country.

You should cut them off immediately and block them from your phone and email. Any additional contact will identify you as an "easy mark" and you will get lots more scam offers.

These scams are everywhere. Here is another thread with the same exact scam with the only difference being the name.
