I'm sure this has been covered many times, but now it's me.

What is the procedure? It has been quite some time since I made a deposit.

Do I call Wyndham and tell them what I want them to do?
Do they get RCI on the line also?

Is there a time that is best?

I'm thinking of breaking 371k into 2 - 70k and the rest in 28k.
Not sure how being VIP effects anything when it comes to RCI deposits.

Hi Robert-

If you're just depositing, the Wyndham VC should be able to do it without RCI (I think you can also deposit via the website). If you also want to make an exchange or set up a search, then they'll also transfer you to RCI.

Consensus on this board (and the others) is that there's minimal if any benefit to depositing a week larger than 70k. So a combination of 70's, and 28's (which can often be used for last minute and bulk deposit exchanges) is often suggested.

I can't offer VIP info for certain, but I know there is has been some sort of room size upgrade mentioned on the forums (i.e., 28k = blue 1BR instead of blue studio, but don't quote me).

One more thing - I know I've read that at the end of the year it may take up to 5 days for them to make the deposit due to so many people making deposits, so don't wait until the 31st.

When you make your deposit call Wyndham and be specific on what you are depositing and the point amount.

If you want your deposits to appear faster in RCI, tell the rep to connect you to RCI because you want to start your search now, and the Rep will notify RCI automatically that you have those weeks available.

If you do not have the Wyndham Rep connect you to RCI, it seems to take longer for RCI to see your week.

I've often had to spend 105K to get the reservation I needed, apart from last minute or bulk deposits. You never know....

Yes, be insistant. I had last month a Wyndham VC tell me that I wanted to deposit 2 70,000 point studios - not a Red, White, Blue studios spread. Told him NO - and again stated what I wanted. Plus, I wanted visible.

The jerked deposited 2 70,000 and despite 5 more phone calls to VCs over the next 2 days, could not get it reversed. :(

Just FYI,
