I know many of us in years past, myself included have purchased Aus. points timeshares or SA timesharese for the PFD program. The favorable exchange rates have made these purchases attractive. The new RCI PFD grid has forced me to relook at some of my purchases. To my surprise, one of my GC Hawaii weeks now yields more points per dollare mf than either my Aus points resort or my SA PFD week!! And it sells on ebay for about the same as an Australian points resort as well. Paniolo Greens is worth 80,500 in the points for deposit program and has a MF of about $550. I paid $2250 for my week. Mansfield Country in Aus. for a 91,600 point package has a MF of $780. If sells for about $2700. If you are looking for points the MF/point is a little less with the Paniolo Greens. Plus, In my case, I am a lot more likely to use the Hawaii property myself or rent it out. I just thought I would share this observation with my fellow tuggers. Ben

Ben,

I've noticed the same thing. Some of the Points packages that are being sold on ebay just do not seem to make a lot of sense in light of other options that are available.
