Just noticed this on the Wyndham portal into RCI:
Further down on the page, it says this:
I don't currently have any Wyndham points in my RCI account so it doesn't let me search for hotel nights. Before I move points over, I'd like to see what kind of discounts are really available on these hotel bookings. What does 4,000 points per night provide that I can't get through other discounted hotel booking sites? For us, 4K points per night costs ~$26 in MF and 20K costs us ~$130 in MF for 5 or more nights. We normally stay in hotels when on the road to break up longer drives or to attend weddings/funerals. We travel a fair amount around the November/December holidays to/from relatives' houses. So if this is actually a good deal (having doubts), we'd consider occasionally using our points this way. There's no mention of added fees.
I could see this as a decent way to use up a small amount of points that have already been deposited to RCI, which may be close to expiring, if it offers some value. Has anyone used your Wyndham points to reduce the price of hotels booked through RCI? What was the value received? Did you price shop for the hotel stay or compare costs with other discounters by using a comparative website like Kayak or TripAdvisor?
