Hello. I am in the process of purchasing a timeshare from a resale site. I was told the unit had a value of 21 points when last deposited back in June. I can't seem to find any info on whether this is a good value or not. We mainly want to use it for exchanges to other places. I have called RCI and the resort and neither of them can tell me what they could exchange it for.

The seller told me it has tremendous trading value as it is week 27, 4th of July week. He said he has gone to Hawaii and St Marten before. But I can't take his word for it as I don't know him.

MF is $477 which is what attracted me to the sale.

If anyway would not mind looking up for me in RCI database what 21 could get me would be great. We are close to closing the deal this week but I won't feel comfortable unless I due all the necessary research.

Some places we like to travel to. Keep in mind, time of year does not matter to us as we have flexible work schedules so if 21 points gets me a week in Aruba in the low season, we'll take it.

Also I was able to find a PDF online of RCI points system. The same week and resort is valued at 65,000. Is the equivalent to 21 TPU

Aruba
Pretty much anywhere in the Carribean
Disney, I know probably impossible to get into a Disney resort which is ok
Hawaii

Thank you for your help

*Friendly request - please post all related questions/comments in your original thread, rather than starting new ones - thank you:

21 TPU is on the low side - maximum RCI points is 60. For a DVC one bedroom, you need about 35. If you are specifically looking for an RCI trader, I would not buy this timeshare.

If anyway would not mind looking up for me in RCI database what 21 could get me would be great.

You are asking for a "Sightings Request," which belongs on the Sightings and Distressed forum. Access to that forum is a benefit of TUG membership, so you may want to consider joining ($15.)
