RCI set up an Ongoing search (great) but I didn't ask for it!!

Hello Everyone

I have a question. I am looking to exchange one of my old (before the changeover) RCI week deposits. I was looking for somewhere in the spain region, I asked the rep to do a dummy to see what my deposit of 42k could pull. He said nothing in spain but its pulling a few resorts in the canary islands which I would be equally happy with.

Anyway I went on line to check out the resorts he gave me the numbers for and I see I have an ongoing search set up :whoopie: - I did not ask for this - but am hoping its for real. If its for real and legit then I would like to start playing around with the dates - it was a dummy run so just gave him a random date of end of july when the kids school break up - I would probably prefer something in August realistically. What I want to know is can I start changing dates on this ongoing search that I didn't technically ask to be set up?

Also reading on this site, is it correct that RCI sometimes run promotions to set up ongoing searches for free? If so how are you notified. I never recieve emails from RCI or Wyndham (who I own with).

Previously only a VC could set up ongoing searches using the generic deposits and alter the parameters.

I still had one until around 6/20/11? and that still held true.

Unless there has been a recent change I don't believe you yourself can change dates, need to get a VC involved again.
