RCI Sale on Vidanta

Just received an email from RCI. They are having a sale on beach resort reservations with reduced exchange and Extra Vacation prices. They've really emphasized Vidanta as a destination:

except the 1 in 4 still applies and the regular resort fee still applies and no guest certificates. I don't know that reducing the exchange and getaway prices by $60-150 is going to get someone who hasn't jumped on a stay in the last 4 years to book.

That is a bargain compared to exchanging and paying the additional resort fees that are as high as $950 for the week. We used some of those a few years ago and they worked great - it was cheaper than paying our MF! I think Interval had them too and we used one week from RCI and the next year from II to add an extra week to already scheduled vacations in PV. At the time there were not 1-in rules with either resort.
