RCI-"replacement" week on confirm?

something weird is going on with RCI. I exchanged via RCI weeks on 10/26/11 for Ferienclub Oberstaufen for 7/13/13---it was a lone 2BR just sitting there--which I grabbed and got insurance. Got my "your vacation is confirmed" 2 days later via email.
Today, I got another "your vacation is confirmed" email which say "replacement" with a transaction date of 11/4. The email gives a specific unit C-12, whereas my online confirm just says 2BR. My online confirm still says transaction date 10/26.
Anyone have something like this happen? Elaine
 
They might have had to give the original deposit back to the resort for some reason, and found a replacement immediately. Even though they never spoke to you, the system would have sent an email out with the change.

As long as the new exchange meets your requirements (it is still a 2BR at the same resort), I wouldn't worry about it too much. If anything, I would be glad to know the system sends such a message out - it means you should get a message if they mess around with your confirmed vacation in a way that is not acceptable as well.

If you're really concerned, you could call and ask to speak to a supervisor, who might be able to shed some light on the subject. It might even be a situation where the deposit was "changed" to update the specific unit assignment, though none of my current exchanges show a specific assignment - some have in the past, others show only a unit size.
 
This happened to me a year or so ago., Had a confirmed exchange into FLBR. Several weeks/months later I get a 2nd confimraiton email. I called to question it and they said that they had to assign a different unit and that generated the new email. Given RCI, I was nervous but I did get exactly what I exchanged into and all was fine.
