Hello All,
I am owner of Hilton ( HGVC). I have excess RCI points from conversion. Any suggestion how to use the RCI points before they expire? For exam
1. Can I book a place using RCI and put ad for rental?
2. Can I sell or exchange points?
Any other ways to use points?

Appreciate always great inputs from experienced TS owners.
Thanks

A few in S and VA, a single resort in NC, MD, PA, and UT, plus Jamaica and the Bahamas
All of those options are prohibited by rci's terms. You can have your reservations cancelled and your rci membership suspended without compensation. Once the points are in RCI, they are for personal use. So advertising rentals of vacations and/or points is a no go.

If you have family members or friends you could probably come up with a private arrangement and make a reservation and add a guest certificate for your guest. It isn't something you would want to do with strangers and you wouldn't want to advertise on public forums. Rental platforms like Redweek, TUG and others will not allow you to advertise exchanges.

I understand. Seems giving to guests is best way to use. Right?

Or the previously stated:

Does the same rule of not renting apply to say HGVC? So you can book for guest but not put ad for rental?

You can rent out your "home" week/points.

I have friendships and relationships with people from various Facebook user groups and tug forums who in the past have utilized our familiarity with each other to make arrangements for us to use each other’s exchanges by purchasing a guest certificate so it can be reserved in the name of the other party. I’m an RCI member and a Grandview Las Vegas owner and bank my weeks. Sometimes money might be exchanged at a preferred rate for the reserved accommodations because of the already established relationships between the parties but as an RCI member you should not be advertising to any 3rd parties that you will just arbitrarily rent them an exchange week you have already reserved.
