RCI, recommendations for Oahu

Family and I are planning to visit Oahu and maybe Big Island in summer 2021.

RCI have access to HGVC resorts in Oahu and Big island. As no one knows when HGVC will do their bulk deposit for 2021 i'm kind a looking for a backup(s) so If we dont get HGVC maybe we can get something else just as nice.

Disneys Aulani is also part of RCI but I dont expect to see or even be lucky enough to get one of those.

We are looking for resorts which have a 2br option for my family, I could live with 2 x 1br but prefer a 2br - since not all HI resorts in RCI have that, that also limits the number. Further more even less have a review here on tug.

as a HGVC owner I can and will use some of those points to book HGVC at HI but I would be glad if I could use my RCI points too. I know HGVC charges a resort fee through RCI but i'm okay with that.

So any recommendation to which resorts in RCI would be recommendable?

We are HGVC people as well as RCI. Any of the Hilton Timeshares on Oahu(Honolulu) or the Island of Hawaii(Waikoloa) would be recommended. We have stayed at all of them as well as other resorts in the area. The Hilton Timeshares are the best on these islands.

I’ve only stayed at HGVC, Disney Aulani and Marriott Ko Olina on Oahu.
For Oahu, I’ve sighted Shell and Wyndham in RCI but only the studio units

Wyndham at Waikiki Beach Walk #8667 <— I’ve never seen this one online in RCI

Just a thought...A two bedroom RCI exchange is tougher on Oahu vs the Big Island. Use your HGVC points to book Oahu and RCI Points for the HGVC resorts on the Big Island.

The other possibility is to book 2 x HGVC 1br on Oahu. One via RCI and the other via HGVC Points.
