RCI Questions from a Newbie

I have two questions re RCI.

1. Are there geographic restrictions between the Hawaiian Islands? For instance, can I deposit a week in Maui in exchange for a week on the Big Island?

2. If my home resort is not an affiliate in the RCI Points, only RCI Weeks, can I still participate in RCI Points and convert my weeks into RCI Points?

When you deposit ANY timeshare, it is converted to points, and you trade the points - doesn't matter where.

2. If my home resort is not an affiliate in the RCI Points, only RCI Weeks, can I still participate in RCI Points and convert my weeks into RCI Points?

Just to be sure were are on the same page - all RCI deposits are points now.
Even weeks have a points value.

BUT - there are still two different points systems - and if you are in weeks - you will trade for other weeks.
