If you already have an rci points account from one timeshare, can you deposit a week from another resort that participates in rci points even if the week has not been "converted"?

Points, Shmoynts.

If the unconverted timeshare week is at an RCI Points timeshare, the answer is No. The only way to get points for a week at a points timeshare is to swallow hard & spring for conversion, which may or may not be worth it.

If the timeshare week is at a regular, plain-vanilla RCI Weeks timeshare resort, then it is possible to get points for it -- via Points For Deposit. RCI charges $26 for that. Points For Deposit is optional any year you care to go for it. That is, you can do Points For Deposit this year & not do Points For Deposit next year -- it's up to you year by year.

Isn't that funny!!!

I just talke to the RCI Vacation Guide about setting up my new points acct. She told me that I would be able to deposit my Wyndham Patriot's Place as PFD. I questioned her and she insisted that even though PP is indeed a points resort I would be able to do the PFD. I thought I would wait and see but I believe that advice is contrary to everything I have been told in the past.

Thank you,

Paul

Nope, the RCI rep is correct. You are mixing apples with oranges. Wyndham Fairfield Points are different from RCI Points. You cannot do a PFD of a week at a resort that participates in the RCI Points program. But a Wyndham fixed or floating week is able to be PFD'd.

Wyndham Points can be deposited into your RCI Weeks account as a studio, one bedroom, or two bedroom in lieu of using some or all of your points in a given year. The deadline dates and number of points needed to do this is is specified in the owner education section of their website.
