RCI Points buying, transfer and more

If I buy a resort week that has rci points attached to it, do the points automatically transfer to me? Is there a fee for the points to transfer to me (I don't have a points account, I do have a weeks account).

If I cancel my points account (I guess not renew) does the week revert back to a weeks resort? Can I later switch back to the points? If so, would there be a few to do that?

Did all rci point resorts begin as weeks resorts?

No, you need to apply for a points account and pay to have and points accrued transferred to your account

Yes, but the use week may already be in points

I will answer these together. Yes, if you pay big bucks to the resort, somewhere between $1500-$3500.

not all but most yes.
