Hi All,
I'm just foraying back into the RCI Points world. I know at one point that there was an exclusion that points in the Orlando Area could not be used toward a DVC exchange, and there also used to be a 1 in 4 rule (this may have been with Weeks).
I am just wondering that say you own a Grandview Las Vegas for XXX amount of points and you own at Vacation Village Parkway XXX amount of points. Does that mean that all your points might not be able to exchange into DVC, or just the ones you own in the area? Or because you own one out of area and one in area can you dip into the Area points?
Maybe this isn't even a think anymore.
TIA for any insight!~

All of the points can be used if you don’t own in Orlando..... stick with Grandview

For Weeks, the area restriction is applied on a per-deposit basis. So, a deposit from an Orlando-area resort (not a mini-system) cannot be used, nor can any deposit credit or combined deposit that includes (the remnants of) any Orlando-area depsoited week. But a deposit, deposit credit, or combined deposit containing only non-Orlando weeks can be.

However, for Points it is applied on a per-account basis. If you have any Points-enrolled ownerships in Orlando in an account, that account is barred from exchanging into DVC.

I don't think there has ever been a 1-in-4 rule for DVC.

So say for instance your Points are in the Legacy Vacation Club where your point are in a "Club" versus at one location.. I ask because Legacy is one of the contracts we are looking at, Decent MF to Point Ratio

A Legacy member would have to answer that. Not all club type points are have the same rules as other club type memberships.
