RCI Platinum Membership. Ok, I need to know the lowdown, the 411, the scoop, the inside information! Is it worth it? I usually combined weeks and trade out. Will this get me to the top or closer to the top of the trade list any faster or is it just another fee to hawk more stuff. Thanks:wave:

Me too

I have the same question. I am not getting any exchanges for the UK for April 2012 (except for canal boats) with 35 points in weeks trading. Has anyone found it to be worth the money for Platinum membership? Thanks.

RCI Platinum is $55 per membership year. So if you are in the middle of the year, it is pro-rated. I had 2 months left on my membership year and had a choice of joining platinum for $5 for Oct and Nov or $60 for a year and 2 months. I chose the $5 option for now. So far I'm not overly impressed but it was a cheap way to try it out.

Priority access only gets you into the Hyatt hotels and a couple other hotel units in RCI. It does NOT give you priortity over other exchangers for trades. All it does it give you special access to hotel units, which non priority members cannot book and I think it gives you discounts on some fees.

That's my understanding of the system. It will not move you ahead of anyone for trades, though.

It's not JUST hotels, but that is a large part of it. There's not a lot of Priority Access inventory (something like a few hundred units at a couple dozen resorts and hotels).

For TUG Members, check the sightings forum to see what others have reported before you decide to sign up for Platinum just for the Priority Access.

When do they post the rebates? I booked 3 extra vacations and a guest certificate yesterday. Will those post as soon as the free cancellation period is over, or does it take longer?
