RCI Ongoing Search - Points

I would like to do an ongoing search thru points for a weeks resort. I am looking for a specific resort/week/unit size.

RCI has told me that it is possible but could not tell me the number of points it would cost me. Could someone tell me how a points ongoing search works.

Are the points deducted when the search is initiated or when a match is found?

Any information on this process would be gratefully appreciated as I no longer own any weeks resorts and only have RCI points.

If you can, on-line, it's news to me. I've follwed the instructions and have never seen the option.

I have read in other posts that if you call RCI they can generate an ongoing search for you.

I'm curious about this as well. I'd love to do ongoing searches in RCI Points. For RCI Weeks units (through RCI Points) would be nice, but for RCI Points units would be even better.

Tug member Andrew said he has done an ongoing search in Points. I had no idea you could, but he said he set one up with a guide.

I've generated an on-going search with RCI Points with a guide at no extra cost. I wasn't able to see the on-going search on line. I stopped the search when something else came through for me in RCI Weeks.
