If dealing with the RCI website lately wasn't so frustrating, I'd laugh about it. It took me over 2 hours to confirm one little "extra vacation."

I'd fill out all the forms, including a guest certificate, then hit submit a hold - NOPE, server error.

I logged out, then back in. NOPE, the system is experiencing a high volume of users.

I log back in and check my history, low and behold there is my resort, on hold. So I confirm it. NOPE - server error.

So I call - yes, we have your reservation but no guest certificate. So I return online to add a guest certificate - NOPE, credit card error (there is nothing wrong with the credit card).

So I confirm by phone again and add the guest certificate. The agent tells me that I can view and print my confirmation online - NOPE, server error.

This is the most annoying experience I've had with a website in a long time.

I agree totally, and fire their Chief Information/Technology Officer while they are at it, for running such a crummy web site for so many years. They have had plenty of time to fix errors and there is no excuse for such a large company to have such a shoddy website.

Madge, why has RCI's website been so replete with errors and significantly lacking in features/functionailiy for so long? I thought at one time there was a TUG advisory committee established to give RCI a problem tracking/wish list for the web site.

Being a CIO myself I feel that I can speak with experience that this shouldn't be acceptable web site performance for a company like RCI.

jeffcarp,

I addressed this issue here. Most of these problems should now be resolved.

Unfortunately, that doesn't appear to be the case.

Today, 11/27/05, trying to do a simple exchange search: "com.rci.exception.RCIBaseException: Error processing the request : Exception in setITSSearch:WeeksAdapter Transaction not found."

I've never had this many repeating problems with an Internet site, ever.

Yeah, I've been getting these on and off as well. It's honestly the most unreliable website I've ever been on.
