My husband and I have an upcoming trip to the Sheraton Vistana in Orlando. We have four units reserved, and will have friends/family traveling with us.

Mu question is, since we will be there at the same time as our guests, will we need Guest Certificates for the units our guests are in, or can me & DH just check in for all the units? None of the units will be completely full, so if the resort lets us, we could just register two units in my name, and two units in my husband's name, and then have our guests as additional occupants in the units. But, will the resort let us do that? Or, will we have to get GCs for at least two of the units?

I've always found resorts are not too concerned about guest certificates. I've called them to tell them my son, friend(s) would be arriving before me or they were coming and I was not now able to, and to let them check in, and the resorts have been very cooperative.

I'd call the resort and ask.

I have done this 3 times. if you are present, you can check into all the rooms. your guests can put their own credit card down for deposit (charges to room) to make it easier on everybody.

Done this many times with RCI.
If your there to check-in the units for your guests you don't need a guest certificate.
