RCI membership expire date?

Does membership expire on a date that is in the middle of the month or only at the end of a month? If you join anytime in Sept do you get an expiration date of Sept 30?

I'm pretty sure membership breaks on the last/first day of the month. Mine coincides with my Use Year.
