The sad thing is that RCI was a great exchange company and very consumer oriented and mindful of its impact on timesharing in general before the Cendant takeover. Now it is a rogue elephant.
The best thing for timesharing would be if they rethink the splitup of Cendant and spin off RCI as a seperate company. Even better, they could clean house of the current management, and bring back RCI founder Christel deHaan as a consultant to put things right. Then they could bring up people from the ranks who understand timeshare consumers, like Bootleg, to take their places. If Bootleg or someone like him were CEO, then RCI would be a consumer friendly company again.
