Does anyone know when RCI updates their last call to the next month. Right now it is showing Dec and Jan. Wondering when availability for Feb. might show up?
Thanks a lot
Pat

I've always thought that is was 45 days from the date you are searching - a "whole" month never shows at the same time. Sometime around Dec 18th February 1st should show.

Last Call = Cash Only. Instant Exchange = Points + Exchange Fee.

can you use points to "pay" for last call vacation or is it a "Cash Only" deal
The points equivalent of Last Call is referred to as Instant Exchange -- 9,000 points (maximum) for a full week at an RCI Weeks timeshare, plus exchange fee. Anything still left on the "weeks" side 45 days before check-in is up for grabs for no more than 9,000 points + exchange fee.

Last Call reservations (cash only) are offered for Points timeshares and Weeks timeshares.

9,000-point full-week reservations are not offered at Points timeshares -- not within 45 days of check-in, not any time.

For points exchanges into Points timeshares, the full points value is required (plus exchange fee) even if the reservation is made today for check-in tomorrow. Go figure.

P.S.: What part of Virginia are you in? Botetourt County? Culpeper? Charles City County? Abingdon? Accomac? Goochland? Rappahannock County? Woodstock? Wytheville? Galax? Ivanhoe? Manassas? Staunton? Winchester? Gore? Natural Bridge? Front Royal? Monterey? Roanoke? Virginia Beach? (Just wondering.)

so in lieu of all that.. much much much cheaper to use $$$$$$ rather than points.. much less of a pain in the you know what it sounds... where would one find "instant exchange". or is this a over the phone thing only. I haven't seen this on my points webpages.

Get Out Your Adding Machine.

so in lieu of all that.. much much much cheaper to use $$$$$$ rather than points.
Depends on how you value your points. Do you get'm cheap (i.e., low maintenance fee for lots of points)? Or do you pay big bux for your points (like we do -- high maintenance fee for a dinky points allotment) ?

Also, are you Last Calling & Instant Exchanging into spendy fancypants timeshares? Or are your your bargain reservations getting you into so-so resorts ?

If you're thrifty with your points, you can stretch a meager allotment of points into several weeks of timeshare vacationing via Instant Exchange. Or you can go Last Call & not use any points at all.

Our preference is for Instant Exchange, because in most years we're so thrifty with our points that we risk having some expire because we haven't used'm all, & Instant Exchange is a good way to get great value out of leftover timeshare points.

But we're not fussy -- we like Last Call & Instant Exchange both. We like'm so much, in fact, that it hurts our feelings if we have to make a straight-points exchange or a straight week-for-week exchange. Instead of spending a full banked timeshare week on a 1-week exchange, we'd rather stretch the value of that week by getting points for it through Points For Deposit, then use the week's worth of points -- 30,000 or so -- to get more Instant Exchange reservations.

So far, we've done Last Call & Instant Exchange several times, straight-weeks exchanges 4 times, & straight-points exchanges only once.

Click here for help in finding Instant Exchange opportunities on the RCI Points web site. But if you prefer, you can just call'm up & do Instant Exchange that way.

Thank You.

removed the quote with the boo-boo in it!!
Thanks.

Meanwhile, I expunged all remaining evidence of the original bonehead mistake. Now nobody knows what a doofus I am except a few dozen of my closest friends.

Thanks again & Happy New Year.
