RCI just randomly cancelled my ongoing search!

Is this a new thing? I had an aged search from April 2021 and just got an email that it was cancelled. I called and the agent said he didn't see an reasons why but if I wanted to restart it, I'd have to pay the exchange fee since there wasn't currently one on my account. I'm not sure if the credit had been applied at some point to one of my other exchanges or if it was a leftover free search from when I was platinum. I'm bummed, but I don't know where to use these weeks anyways.

When a seach has any dates within 60 days included, the search "can" be cancelled by the computer system. Doesn't always happen.

I have a tough time using RCI lately. It's just not my favorite exchange company. At this point, I am sort of stuck with it, having Wyndham points.

I was searching hawaii in June. So weird. But we can't go anyway. Our biggest problem is inflation this year. It's hit our travel pocket hard so the only splurge we're making is using our DVC points next month.

Years ago even, I had an RCI search on and then just happened to be looking at the place and dates I wanted, and there it was just in the regular listings. I never out in another search with RCI.
Platinum Intetchange, SFX, and 7across (DAE) work very well for fulfilling requests.
