RCI Instant Exchange Question

I read this on a review site:

All Seasonal and Occupancy restrictions are WAIVED for Instant Exchanges!

If I do an instant exchange, does that mean I can stay at Orange Lake more than the 1 in 3 (or 1 in 4) years currently available by exchange?

I doubt it.

Just guessing, I would say that they are letting you exchange in with smaller units in less desirable seasons.

You might try emailing feedback@rci.com . Maybe you could get a clear answer from them.

I sent the question to RCI, here is their response. I guess since it will be points and not a spacebank exchange, I would have the ability to circumvent the 1 in 3 rules at those resorts that have them in place.

Seasonal restrictions' refer to those exchanging blue or white time
into red time. And, 'occupancy restrictions' refer to those that are
exchanging a smaller unit into a larger one.

If you are using a SPACEBANK deposit, the one-in-three year rule is
never waived at Orange Lake.

If, however, you can find Orange Lake available on an Extra
Vacation/Last Call etc., (not using a SPACEBANK to exchange) you may pay
cash to confirm the unit even if you have exchanged a SPACEBANK deposit
into the property within the last three years. Hope this helps.

Reedy Creek Improvement District.

Maybe the 1 in 3 & 1 in 4 restrictions are permanently waived for all Orange Lake timeshare units downwind of Reedy Creek Improvement District's sewage treatment plant.

I missed that you have RCI Points. Last I heard, there were no 1 in 3 or 4 restrictions for Points exchanges. As long as you make a Points exchange, you're good. As I recall, using points to make a Weeks exchange still has the restriction.
