RCI Guest Certificate????

I can buy one of these in my WEEKS account but I don't see this option in my POINTS account. Am I missing something??? Do I really need to call and wait weeks to get it? Not a fan of the snail mail or can they email?? Thanks.

RCI Points Guest Certificates.

Anytime I've made an RCI Points reservation via internet, there has been a Guest Certificate option right there on the screen. It pops up before the screen asking for exchange fee payment information.

Full Disclosure: We've only done a straight-points reservation one -- 1 -- time. But we've done lots & lots of RCI Points Last Call & Instant Exchange & Extra Vacation Getaway reservations via internet. The Guest Certificate option popped up every time.

I am wanting to buy one after the exchange was made not during the process. When I go to my confirmed vacations there is that option in Weeks to buy a Guest Certificate but not in Points.

I'd call them and ask about it.

As for how they get it to you, I just did one with an exchange for my sister and they emailed the G/C directly to her. (I did do that when I booked the exchange online, however. Maybe that will make a difference in your scenario.)

Unfortunately, after you have made the exchange, you can't add a GC online.

I really wish they would make this possible. It's a pain having to call and then wait for it to happen. The last time I had to call and get a Guest Certificate, I waited for about a week. I didn't get an email nor did it show in my account. I called back and was told that it takes approximately five days, not counting weekends. I told the guide that we were on day five, not counting the weekend. I was told to give it another couple of days. Obviously the first Guide did not properly complete the transaction when I called. The second Guide did not bother to check on it when I called in about it not showing up. It took Guide number three to actually handle it. It did take about 5 business days to get it through email.
