I have some friends that went to an owners update this past week at Grandview and they were told that next year RCI will only allow week owners to stay in their home timeshare. They were selling points. I told them that was sales talk and they were blowing smoke, but they wanted me to check on TUG to see if anyone else had heard that from either RCI or other resort. So I am asking.

Why in the world would RCI only let members stay in their home resorts- because they don't want anyone to pay exchange fees? That makes no sense and is one of the more ridiculous things that could be said at an update.

That is pretty hilarious and doesn't fit at all with RCI's business model. They're not going to be disallowing weeks exchanges any time soon.

I'm a week owner at Grandview and that is a bald faced lie.

I am a weeks owner, just paid my 2016 maintenance fees, called Grandview and banked my week, there was never any mention of this "fairy tail." Clearly no limit to the misleading information the sales people in this industry spew out in order to bilk unsuspecting people of their hard earned money, really disgusts me

Yep, they lie. I was told that lots of Hilton owners are selling their timeshare and buying at Grandview because it is a better deal. He actually suggested that I should sell my HGVC timeshare. I said no way, I am not doing that.
