The extra vacations listed on rci site is the price for the whole week? Also, if I want to rent 2 units the same week, can I? I wanted to rent 2 hotel units the same week (one hotel room for me/husband- the other room for my children) is that possible?

Reserving Timeshare Units Isn't Just Exactly Like Reserving Hotel Space.

The extra vacations listed on rci site is the price for the whole week? Also, if I want to rent 2 units the same week, can I? I wanted to rent 2 hotel units the same week (one hotel room for me/husband- the other room for my children) is that possible?
Generally RCI offers timeshares a week at a time unless specified otherwise. With RCI Points, it's possible to make partial-week reservations. Now & then an Extra Vacation will be offered that's (for example) just 5 days. But by & large, the Last Call & Extra Vacation offerings are full weeks. Instant Exchange reservations are full weeks by definition.

The time we made 2 full-week reservations for the same week -- a Last Call for ourselves & an Instant Exchange for our nephew & his family (via Guest Certificate) -- the RCI web site pointed out before we got to the point of no return that the reservations were overlapping by all but 1 day of the reservation periods. We said OK & both reservations went through all right. They were both in the Orlando FL area, but on opposite sides of the Disney complex.

The thing about reserving 2 separate units at the same timeshare resort for the same week is that the weeks have to have been deposited by somebody -- i.e., RCI has to have them already in inventory -- or they won't be available for anybody to reserve. In that situation, I'd call up RCI & talk to a representative over the phone rather than trying to make double simultaneous reservations via Internet. (That's not to say it can't be done via Internet, just that it might be less trouble doing it person to person.)

I'm surprised you'd prefer paying for 2 timeshare hotel units instead of reserving 1 larger timeshare condo with bedrooms & bathrooms enough for everybody. That is, if 2 timeshare units do happen to be available at the same resort during the same week that you want, there's no guarantee the 2 units will be anywhere near each other, much less on the same floor of the same building, & even less that they'd be adjoining. In that situation a lock-off 2BR unit might be not only more practical but also more likely to be available.

Unless my kids were adult, I wouldnt book two seperate units. I agree that you might end up on other ends of the resort. See if they have a one bedroom available instead.

A 2 bedroom is not available or that would be the best way to go. My children are older and my brother will hopefully be in their room.
