I got a call from a Property Management. They say I have four extra weeks (two from last year and two form this year) and they were offering to rent them out for me. They said they were not the Eagles Nest fix week I won. The pitch was I pay $1,300 and they would rent the four out for $1,500 to $1,900 a week. I had them send me a link and it goes to RCI. This sounds to good to be true and is one of the many timeshare scams. Is this legit?

It is not legit. RCI doesn't allow renting out of their weeks. You can call RCI and ask them about it.

Why would you pay them in advance to rent weeks for you... SCAM.

NEVER pay in advance. Real estate comission is paid on back end not front end. Ask them for their management/business license information and report them to the appropriate regulators.

This sounds like the guys who use the name Resort Property Management. They've been cold calling people all month [at least one caller ID from Jonesboro, GA - (678)619-0165)] and mailing out letters, claiming they have renters for weeks you may or may not own. They offer some ridiculous rental amount for your units, but you have to pay an upfront fee, which is a total scam. They insist they are part of RCI, and will send you all the links to RCI that you want (*I* can send you links to RCI, too!), but they have no affiliation whatsoever with RCI.

It's very sad that people still fall for this scam. These guys belong in jail for fraud.
