RCI Exchange with "old" system weeks/points

Hello TUGgers! I sure hope that you can help with this one.

A friend of mine has weeks in RCI that she is only able to book on the phone. She found a unit online this morning that she wanted (for November)so she called to book it. She was told that her weeks were worth 154,000 points and the unit was 200,000 so she could not book it and she could not combine weeks in the old system.
How does she know what is under 154,000 points? Is there a way to look that up online?
Do points required drop for last minute bookings? She only has until December to use these weeks or lose them.

I'm not sure exactly what the rep was talking about because for old deposits, they should not really be talking in terms of points as currency. If your friend has a red 2BR deposited (154K under the old system), I believe they have a TPU value of approximately 24. Yes, TPU costs will generally drop off at about 30 days out, making her old deposit more valuable for short notice exchanges. In general, many of the reps seem pretty clueless about the system so my advice is always to hang up and try again with someone else.
