RCI exchange for DVC confirmation issues

Checking in to see if anyone else has had the same experience as I have.

We did a RCI exchange into DVC.

We have disney confirmation numbers (not RCI numbers, but Disney ones starting with 4. We received them from an RCI supervisor).

I have called DVC to add all of our names into the reservation but they can't find our reservation.

The reservation numbers are listed under RCI and not my name (the account holder and person that made the reservation).

On other posts, people have mentioned that after a week or so they call DVC, give them their name, the dates of travel, the resort staying at and then they are able to add everyone else's name.

ALSO

When I log into my disney experience, the reservation does indeed show up in my account but it is under a "family" member's name, not my name. And the family member is named RCI RCI. I did not add the member, it just showed up

RCI tells me its odd, to give it another week and see if it changes to show my name. Has anyone had this experience. I feel that the information has been mixed up since we have an actual disney confirmation number.

DVC has told me a number of different things...

Anyone know what's going or had the same issue????

Did the other family member purchase a guest certificate for you and put the reservation in your name?

You need to call DVC at 800-800-9800 and get the DVC NUMBER, not anything RCI can give you. You need to follow the prompts to the RCI desk, which I believe are 1, 1, and then 4.

RCI doesn't have a DVC confirmation number to give to you, so whatever they gave you is wrong.

You are very vague as to how you got this week. Exchange through a family member? That's fine, of course, but follow the instructions on the confirmation you received from RCI, which is the 800 phone number above.
