I called RCI this morning to inquire as to the status of a search started 08/18/08 for a unit in Puerto Vallarta for Jan-Feb 2009. RCI charged $199 on 08/20 to my Visa to initiate the search. The CSR told me that I did not have an active search going according to their records. I explained the details and the fact that RCI charged my Visa. She put me on hold and came back after a few minutes to say that they had activated the search again and put me in the original order for the search. She had no explanation why my search was dropped.

IF YOU HAVE AN RCI SEARCH IN PROCESS, DO CHECK BACK PERIODICALLY TO ENSURE THEY HAVEN'T DROPPED IT. Better safe than sorry.
