This week I reserved my floating week after checking the deposit calculator and seeing the week was worth 18 TPUs. Today I received my reservation confirmation and tried to deposit the week but RCI only wants to give me 6 TPUs. I have gone back to the caculator and it still shows 18 TPU for this week. I would not have reserved this week if I knew it was only worth 6 TPUs. I have printed out copies of both the TPU caculator and screen shot of what they want to give me. I did not make the deposit. Anyone else have this problem or know if RCI will do anything about it?

I'm noticing RCI is giving highest summer red week tpu to week 27 which I believe is the week after July 4th in 2013. Week 26, the 4th gets less tpu? So I am hesitating reserving and depositing, I was going to call first to make sure this is not a mistake?

Could be. At floating resorts "everyone" reserves the 4th to deposit thinking it will be worth more, and that creates a supply imbalance, depressing trade value.

i am also seeing my july 4th not worth as much as the following week......unusual from prior years.

"6" makes no sense - I agree - call web support and let us know what happens

The July 4th week anomoly was definitely the case for one of my resorts, Island Park, last year 2012. The difference was not huge, two or three TPUs but might as well be in my pocket as theirs.

Update

I called RCI today and after spending some time on hold, the agent told me that the 18 TPUs the deposit calculator showed was correct and he did not understand why the amount shown when I tried to deposit was different. He made the deposit for me and assured me I would be getting 18 TPUs. Now waiting for the confirmation by my resort to see if he is correct.
