We got a phone call from RCI tonight saying they are calling "a select few" with a special offer. - A 7-10 night cruise anywhere/ almost any cruise line plus 1 week at a resort for $2495 per couple. They said the cruises were available to shop online from any of the cruise lines. The resorts / dates would only be available upon signing up for their offer. This offer could be used any time in the next 2 years, but we had to sign up within 4 hours.
Sounds suspicious to me. What's the catch. Why can't we see the list of resorts/ dates until after we commit to the package. Therefore we declined. Did anyone else get this call? Did we miss out on a good deal?

We passed on this a few months back. The RCI rep allowed me to "try" finding a few cruises of interest. Those we checked came back as being much higher than the quoted $2495 per couple. So the "fixed price" is only for a collection of very common cruises ... which I assume I could find for a much lower price if I cared. I doubt you are missing anything.

Anytime they want money up front before giving out complete details then something isn't right. If it's a good program, then give ALL the details rather than hiding them. There is no way I'd give RCI or anyone else almost $2,500 on a kiss and a promise.
