RBE Cocoa Beach II Trade Power

My folks have two weeks reserved at the Resort on Cocoa Beach - #43 Oct 24.-1st; and #44 Nov 2-9th. Both 2 Bedrooms.

Will this be enough to pull the same weeks at Marriott Shadow Ridge or Palm Canyon Resort and Spa and Monarch Grand Vacations at Palm Canyon Resort and Spa (RIS MPS)?????

...when they go and book lower demand weeks and expect me to exchange them into higher demand weeks or locations!

Those a quite low demand in the Cocoa Beach area. Can you run a test search with them on intervalworld.com? At the same time you could go to the sightings forum and ask others to use higher power traders to search for the resorts your parents want, just to see whether there's anything there.

Early deposits get a little more power with II and ongoing searches have priority over online searches, so if your parents are stuck with those weeks, you can increase their chances a little bit by using the early deposit/ongoing search techniques.

I don't think those same weeks are especially high demand in Palm Springs so that should help. II's exchange services seem to be down right now (again!) so I can't see if anything is available then or check the demand index.

But there are also a lot of other resorts in that area so why limit themselves to just a few?

Nope on Shadow Ridge, Maybe on the others

As much as I like the Resort at Cocoa Beach, I would be very surprised if it would pull Shawdow Ridge. I think however, based on the time of year you may have a chance on the other two.

It is showing Shadow Ridge and others, but only Studio and 1 Bedrooms... for a 2 Bedroom?

The demand index is not too far off for Palm Desert and even so, I tried to search indicating a Week 26 or week 27 2009 (Highest demand possible) and it comes up with NOTHING available.

$800.00 and change is a good price for a getway at this resort.

Summer and winters weeks are the higher demand times.

I am noticing through my searches that:

- a lesser demand (per the demand index) chrsitmas & new year week with Saturday check-in WILL pull what we want.
- The SAME christmas and new years weeks with Sunday check-in WON'T pull the same weeks as a Saturday check-in.

Very odd to me!

Anyone know why this resort area is not a great trader? I always thought that it's a nice beach thats pretty close to Disney. The float week options are good. Why don't they trade well?
