We had some packages to pick up at the Post Office today, plus my wife needed to buy some Gardening Gloves, so we needed to drive into town.

Kim has planted some succulents, Plumeria and Pineapple and since she pricked her fingers a few times already, she finally decided she needed gloves. :D

First stop was the Post Office to get some packages. When my neighbor gave me some Axis Deer, I asked my brother if he would send me a couple sticks of Venison Summer Sausage. He always has extra so he sent me a couple sticks and I Venmo'd him some money. He put them in a foam box that he gets his insulin delivered it. It worked great.

Luckily, we went there first. I walked right up to the counter and that has never happened. Plus, a few hours later when we were leaving town, we drove by there again and there was a fire truck and ambulance there. Didn't hear what happened yet.

After the Post Office we went to Paddlers for lunch. We haven't been there in a few weeks so we stopped in. It was the most crowded we have ever seen it. Only a couple tables open. My wife had the Paddler Fries, of course and I had a Cheeseburger. I never had one of their burgers. It was really good.

Then we went to Ace to get her gloves. We parked on the street and when I got out, I couldn't help but notice all the fruit on the ground. I mentioned it to my wife and she said "Didn't you see the sign?" It was a huge Mango tree and the sign said to park at your own risk. :D

After that, we stopped at the Lunch Box and ordered some Subs to take home for dinner tonight. It was kind of like walking into Cheers. As soon as I came in, everyone from behind the counter said "Jeff". They introduced me to some other people there and we talked for a bit. They wanted to meet Kim so they went out to the car and talked to her while my order was being put together. I really like that place, awesome people.

Then we had some time to kill because we wanted to see our road side farmer and he sets up at 3pm. So we decided to take a ride around the northern neighborhood of Kaunakakai. Here's some pictures from around the neighborhood.

Our last stop was out to One Ali'i Park. We stopped to use the restroom and it was clear out, so I got some pictures of some of the houses above the park.

I actually lucked out, my Farmer friend had some more Papayas so I was able to grab some of those, along with some Carrots, Tomatoes, Zucchini and Bananas.

It was a busy day but we got a lot done.

It's a little quiet here around WaveCrest this week. There was a good number of people here this weekend but not too many are left. If they only came for the weekend, unfortunately, they had some bad weather.

Great pictures. It seems like you and Kim are really fitting in with the 'locals'. Heck, you ARE locals. Good story of the Lunch Box bunch going out to meet Kim and welcome her. It doesn't get much better than that. Bask in it. Looking at the houses, it could be anywhere in America. We couldn't be happier for you. Keep on 'livin' the dream!' Those Paddler Fries look AWESOME!

You need to befriend the owners of some of those boats we see in the neighborhood and go catch some of the local wildlife. Catch-of-the day stuff. Fodder for the grill!

Thanks for sharing

Mahalo, yes, it is going well.

Fishing is one thing I may try in time. I see some people Fishing right here in front of the condo. So that may happen. Only bad thing is, if I caught anything, I wouldn't know what the heck it was. :D

What a beautiful place to live. I'm vicariously living next-door to you folks. :D

Can't wait to visit Molokai next Summer. I've wanted to go there since I was a teenager. It's going to be an excellent time!

As long as you want to relax, you'll have a great time.

You may not have the rainbows but your backyard sounds like an awesome place.

Thanks for posting! I was thinking about your rainbow photo when I shoveled my driveway this morning...

I hope that is over for you soon.

New carpet is going down on the back hallway. Looks like they are finishing each floor at a time. I saw the managers taking some people around and they were taking pictures of something on the buildings. Now they are down by the Cabana doing the same thing. Must be getting an estimate on something.

They are doing fine without me. :ROFLMAO:
The manager here keeps everyone working. She is really organized.

I'll have to ask her what they were looking at in the Cabana and the other buildings.

They got the carpet done in the back hallway. They started on the stairs and one flight is done so they just have the landing and one more flight. Then the first and second floors of our B building is complete. Then they will start on the third floor next week.

Just a little update on my wife, Kim. She has been doing really well. The only thing holding her back know is some lower back pain when she is standing too long. Even that has gotten a little better. She has been doing well on the stairs too. We were a little concerned with that since we are on the 2nd floor but so far no issues.

She hasn't come close to falling since the surgery the first week of December. There has been several times when she told me "I would have fallen then before the surgery but now I feel myself correcting my balance". That didn't happen before the surgery. She would just fall.

The last few days have been a little windy and rainy. Although, Kim has been active in the condo. I thought it would be good to get out and about. No rain today but it is windy so I said we are going for a little walk down to the bench by the ocean. She thought for a second and then said she hasn't been out since grocery shopping on Thursday so she better get outside.

She has been doing really well. She is often cleaning and working with her plants and practicing her Ukulele. She has been doing better at bending down and picking things up or cleaning.

She has been coming up with recipes she wants to try and most of the time she gets things ready to cook for dinner before I even wake up.

We took her scooter to just before the pool gate and then she walked with me to the bench out front. It was windy but when the sun was out, it was really warm. After a while we went in to the cabana to get out of the wind. It was pretty crowded by the pool so there are some new people here.

While we were there she found an airfryer recipe for whole chicken she wants to try tonight.

We got another Hawaii Telecom statement on the mail today. This is our old account from Oahu. They owe us a $10.75 credit but this bill showed we owed them $437 for the equipment not being returned. I returned the equipment on 02-25-22. I called them today and they said they see it on their end that I returned the equipment so they credited the account right away and they also processed our credit. Glad I saved the receipt of return anyway.

Now I just need my package from Young Brothers. Aloha Freight didn't put it on the barge late last month. I have been calling them for the last few weeks. They found it and now they say I should get it on Thursday. Things are going well today. :D

We went In to Kaunakakai town to pick up a package at the Post Office so I took some pictures of the new building going up downtown.

It was a nice day so I snapped a couple pictures while I was down by the ocean here at WaveCrest too. Saw some Bananas on the tree down by the car wash station. There was a low tide so you can see a lot more of the Lava rocks that are usually covered by the ocean. These pictures are right in front of the fishpond. If you look close you can see part of the gate of the fishpond sticking out of the water. It just looks like a pipe.

I got a call from Young Brothers this morning. Aloha Freight finally found my other box and they had it for me to pickup at the Wharf.

You have to have patience when you order large things to be delivered to Hawaii. I ordered this on 03-16-22. :D

A new listing here at WaveCrest C207. It was last sold in 2014 for $120,000. There has been a lot of work done to it since then.
I like the set-up and style of this one.

Jeff, are you trying to get Tuggers to buy into your complex and move to Molokai? ;)

I'm sure TUGGERS would make great neighbors. ;)

One thing I am surprised by is this is $99,000 more than I paid just 4 short years ago. It has a couple newer updates but $99,000 more?

The entire country reflects that if you check Zillow. But we will see what 5 percent mortgage rates does to bring it all down. Thanks for all the pictures. Reminds me that Molokai is stuck in 1983.

Went to Kaunakakai town to pick up packages at the Post Office so we stopped out to the Harbor. Very windy with on and off rain for the last couple of weeks. Big Swells coming in past the reef.

The video is a little loud with he wind and the waves don't show up well but the Swells were pretty big.
