Kenny Rogers, Country Music legend whose career spanned 6 decades passed away Friday at 10:25 pm quietly of natural causes, according to his family. A private family service is planned due to COVID-19 restrictions on gatherings. R.I.P.

Not a fan, but found his songs a notch above the usual country stuff.

Country music icon Kenny Rogers, whose hits included "Lucille," "Lady" and "The Gambler," died late Friday at his home in Sandy Springs, Ga., his family said in a statement. He was 81. The Houston-born country star had 20 No.-1 hits and three Grammys and performed for some 60 years before retiring from touring in 2017 at age 79.

I loved listening to his songs back in the early 80s when I was a youngster.

It's too bad the COVID-19 is preventing the family having an all-out funeral for him.

Thoughts and condolences go out to his friends and family.
