Hey, for those who own specifically at Nanea - are you able to book your reservations online via the website? I have a resale they are requalifying via developer purchase and IT told owner services that I'd have to call to book which I believe is totally untrue. I have escalated this but want to make sure that is completely wrong.

Thank you ahead of time.

It may be that you end up with a broken account where you end up with each ownership in a different account. Or a different VSN number on each account. That can cause a lot of problems and is hard to get fixed. However, I've only seen that happen in the case of mandatory resales and not purchasing direct to requalify.

Do the two deeds to your properties have the same group of owners and show those owners identically (same middle initials, same co-ownership [joint tenants, trust, etc.])? If they do not, Vistana won't merge the two accounts.

If that is your situation, you can fix it by recording a deed on one of the properties to make it identical to the other. But as @dioxide45 says, it is a rigamarole.

Thanks for those thoughts. I'll check to verify all the t's and i's are crossed and dotted the exact same.

Well they are saying from the IT side it is impossible for them to link the accounts. I find this to be absurd. My ownership yearly points were in my balances when they transferred it and then when the requalified it, it suddenly isn't and there is now multiple VSN accounts which they need to either merge or move the Nanea into it. There is no reason the recording would be different because the purchase I made to requalify it at the same time is in my VSN account. They are trying to tell me I have to call to make a reservation and oceanfront in peak season will be gone if I don't book immediately at midnight vs waiting til the next morning to call. I have escalated this to Customer Advocacy.

Also note that I had them re-open the case from the owner services side since the IT people said there is no way to fix it and closed it the case. When I reopened it, they said it wasn't being reviewed which is making me insanely mad because someone is either being too lazy to figure it out or the person who reviewed it doesn't know what to do or where to look.

Hopefully they can get this resolved because I'll have no way to know what my balances are if I don't use my full points each year or if I bank anything with them being not together. It's mindboggling they can't fix this easily.

I had a similar problem recently with a new purchase in the name of my trust. Unfortunately, someone on the Marriott side added “The” in front of the name of our trust. That was enough to force the creation of a new account. I asked the salesperson for help and he was able to get the issue resolved within a few days. Before the issue was fixed, I had two Vistana accounts and I was able to log in to both to see the points. With separate accounts, there was no way to combine the points for a reservation.

I have been fighting with this for well over a year.
I have 5 vistana accounts
After numerous hours on the phone (with almost always polite and less frequently knowledgeable ) agents I finally got all 5 accounts "linked"
That means I can make Staroptions reservations using my total staroptions from all accounts from at least 4 of the 5 accounts
If I want to make a "Home" reservation I can only do so by using the account that has that specific ownership.
I am told that what I really want to do is to "Merge" the 5 accounts into one account
They even have a special form for that
It takes as long for them to deal with the "Merge" request as it does to add an ownership
They are now working on my second "Merge" request--the first ws unsuccesful although they emailed me that it was done
When you talk to them make sure that they open a "case" and get the case number
With the case number you can save a lot of time when you speak to a new agent
Another point my units are in a trust with multiple co-trustees.
While I still think that trusts are worth it their is no question in my mind that Vistana has had more difficulty in dealing with the trust

I can negotiate around all this but I am going to persist because I can not see how any of my kids could do so

Fair warning I think the above is accurate but since I have been less than totally successful maybe I am wrong
Good luck

You will want to deal directly with the Marriott Owner Modifications and Title Transfer Team. Call Owner Services and ask to be transferred to the Owner Modifications and Title Transfer Team. They will send you a "Merge Request" form to complete and snail mail back. (They will not accept an email copy of the completed form).

Here is the info I received with the form:

Greetings from the Owner Modifications & Title Transfer Team,

To combine your ownership accounts, please complete and return the attached form.

Marriott Vacations Worldwide®
Attn: Ownership Transfer Group
1200 Bartow Road, Suite 15
Lakeland, FL 33801-5903

FAX: 863-284-5319

The accounts you wish to combine must have identical titles. If the titles do not match exactly, and the same owners are not listed on all accounts, the merge request cannot be processed.

Upon receiving the signed document, we will review your accounts and if they meet the necessary requirements, proceed with the requested changes.

Please note that processing takes approximately 30 business days from the date we receive the form.

Amazing - Thanks for that. I'll get this worked on asap. I'll keep you guys updated as I hope this works and others who deal with this know what to do.

Thanks BA21!
