Quick help needed - Charter Club of Marco Beach

I have a 2 bedroom on hold for check in this saturday.

I have 2 units already booked at Driftwood in Lauderdale by the sea, but we could easily book this too and do a split stay. We have been DYING to get to the west coast.

What do you guys think? Too much hassle? If it was just me, dh and baby i would go for it no prob, but we are bringing my mom too.

Take it this is a beautiful resort and almost all the rooms have some type of view of the gulf. I'd not lose the opportunity. It's very different than Fort Lauderdale but a gorgeous beach great for seniors and little kids.

Afternoon highs will be in the upper 70's, but the Gulf is only 68. Great weather for boat tours and wave runner rentals.

LBTS is not Ft. Lauderdale. LBTS is a small town on the barrier island surrounded by two big cities and I am proud to call LBTS home. That being said, the driving time to the west coast is not that long and the west coast does have beautiful beaches. I think a split week would not be a problem.

I'd take it in a heartbeat. It's a beautiful place and as mentioned, pretty much everything has a decent water view unless you're on the first floor in the back building kind of thing.

Too funny! I remember driving up A1A from Lauderdale to Pompano even in the 60's and couldn't tell where one town started and the other stopped. There is NO DOUBT, however, that Marco is a small town on a barrier island. If you have any doubt, just look at any map. West coast all the way! As for LBTS, I do have a fond memory of Woody Woodbury's nightclub way back when. I've been in that area since the late 50's when my grandparents moved down there. There are so many reasons why I ended up on the WEST coast. The best reason to stay on the east coast is deep sea fishing.

Charter Club is very special because they offer toys on the beach for you to use at no charge. Things like the small sunfish sailboats and paddleboards. Most resorts don't even offer these things.

BUT! My best advice is to take a waverunner tour of the 10,000 islands - look up Captain Ron's Awesome Everglades Adventures. If you Google it, you will see why! They offer an AWESOME adventure! DO NOT leave here without living this experience!
