Have condos booked for our trip for Oct./Nov. first week is on Oahu at the Wyndham Royal Garden Resort. We plan tp use Roberts for airport transfers. Once I have airline booked how far in advance do I need to reserve with Roberts? Does his fare include tax and tip? Its a long flight from SE Florida to Oahu, we will be very tired, is there a restaurant either at the resort or close by where we could grab dinner before crashing for the night? I did not see where it mentioned one on the website. My other question is the water on both Oahu and the Big Island. Is it good to drink and make coffee and tea with or do we need to buy bottled water? The Big Island Revealed Book doesn't mention the drinking water at the resorts.

All the drinking water on the island is fine. Bottled water is not needed, but may be more portable for taking to the beach or wherever.

That resort is in Waikiki, and there are many restaurants within a few (long) blocks. You should be able to find something nearby.

Try this link: http://www.google.com/maps?q=restau...AEd6bSX9iFp1gKm5g_M3A&hq=restaurants&t=m&z=16 It's a Google search for restaurants near your resort.

You may want to also look at Ilima Tours for transportation to/from the airport. It's $11 each way per person from the airport to Waikiki. And you may be able to talk the driver into stopping at a restaurant drive through on the way. ;) www.ilimatours.com

HVC: The Point at Poipu, 3 deeded weeks, 1 of which is in The Club.
If you have more than two people, take a cab. Earlier this month, ours was $45 (including the generous tip) from the airport to the Outrigger Waikiki, and that's further than you'll have to go. It's no hassle and no waiting. The cab stand is just outside the baggage claim. Even when it's just two of us, we do it because any of the shuttles involve waiting to leave and waiting while they drop off all the other stops. Airport cab drivers are required to accept credit cards now, so you don't need the extra cash. There is a risk if you get stuck in traffic, you'll have to pay more, because the fare is based on miles and minutes.

Just to clarify: With Ilima we were the only people in the vehicle. No waiting for anyone else. I don't know if that's typical, but it was fast and affordable. At my request, they dropped us at our rental car pickup spot in Waikiki.
