On RCI's confirmation, it still says that the 1BR has 2 burners and it doesn't mention oven or freezer (unlike 2BR which it does). So...

Does 1BR have an oven, a regular refrigerator with freezer?
Are they located upstairs or downstairs or both?
What should I ask for if we'd like to be placed in a quiet location?

I know there are quite a few owners here. Hope you know the answers :)

I called the resort directly and found all units now have regular frig with freezer and oven. Good to know.

1. I believe the range in the one-bedroom units is a bit smaller than conventional.

2. 1-bedroom units can be either upstairs or downstairs.

3. The building is laid out like a square, with the pool area and courtyard in the center of the square. Units can then either face inward to the courtyard or outward to the parking area (street side). If I had a choice I would take a unit that faces the courtyard.

4. The property is fixed unit, fixed week. You will get the unit that was deposited for the exchange. Look on the confirmation for a number that will have either five numbers, possibly preceded by a single letter A through F. Ignore the letter. Your unit number will be the first three digits; the last two digits will be the week # on the resort calendar.

Here's a link to a property map that shows the location of each unit.

It's not a fancy place, but it's clean, comfortable, and convenient. Easy freeway on-and-off to get around. Also close to PCH and the many fine beaches along that stretch of road.

Thanks! I was hoping you see my post and respond :)
My confirmation says 00130. Does that mean it's unit 130?

130 is a 2-bedroom unit. So if your confirmation is for a 1-bedroom unit it can't be 130.

I think that if you call the resort they will be able to tell you the unit.

I grew up practically around the corner from Winner's Circle. It was originally a luxury hotel built by friends of my mother's. There was a drive-in movie theater right next door, and Winner's Circle had a "viewing room" that piped in the sound from the drive in and had a picture window facing the drive-in screen. Some friends were invited by the owner's family and we got to watch "A Clockwork Orange" from that viewing room. I had moved away by the time it converted to a timeshare, so I don't know much about that. I think you'll enjoy your stay there.

I just looked at the resort map posted by @T_R_Oglodyte. The Northwest side of the resort would be the quietest, and rooms on the courtyard would be quieter than those on the parking lot. I'd recommend rooms 140-152 or 160-172, and the "upstairs" from those: rooms 240-252 or 260-272. Enjoy my home town!

Thank you! I’ll call them to put in the request.

A quick update: we went Mar 12-19 and was assigned # 208, upstairs facing the pool. I did call before leaving home and it was nice of them to give us the type of unit requested. We are pleasantly surprised by the resort and the unit itself. Everything is in working order and things are well organized. Beach is less than a mile away where we walked to every evening after dinner. Will not hesitate to stay there again if we need a place in San Diego or its vicinity. Thanks for your help!
