I have a week for 5/22 at Marriott's Kauai Beach, a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom. Our son and his wife were going to use the week. They just found out he cannot go because of a training class he is attending for his store. I didn't add eplus retrade to the week because I didn't think our son would cancel. So I was going to retrade it with the option offered, but my question is can I then add eplus retrade? Will it offer that to me?

I don't have any real plans ahead of me to use that week. Our vacations are all booked for a while. Just trying to figure this out.

I am not 100% sure. Back in 2016, I used a Marriott DSV II studio for a Maui trade, then did three retrades but ultimately had to cancel the final trade. I remember getting a replacement week. I just looked it up and I only made one additional trade - but I can't remember if that was because I couldn't add eplus. It's likely that I didn't (couldn't?) add eplus because it wasn't a great trade and if I had eplus I would have probably tried to get something better. It was not an expiration issue. Hopefully someone with a better memory will chime in with a definitive answer.

I was able to use eplus on a replacement week, so I would think you'd be able to do it on the retrade. I'd bet good money on @dioxide45 knowing the answer.

When you have to cancel a standard trade or your last eplus trade (my case), you can get a replacement week. As long as you cancel greater than 60 days before check-in, the week is good for a year from the date you canceled (otherwise flexchange applies). By adding eplus to the week you can extend it an additional year.

ETA: you have to pay the exchange fees again, but you don't lose the week.
