Hi, there. We will be there in June and am wondering if there are secure facilities near the villas for storing bikes overnight. We are driving down from Boston and want to bike around the trails on property and in nearby areas but DH is wary about what to do about our bikes. I looked into rentals at a local shop, but at $80 per week for our family of 4 is more than I'd prefer to spend.

Any insight you can offer would be really helpful.

Thanks!

The community of Ford's Colony is a gated community with 24/7 security so you probably won't run into any theft/vandalism issues unless it is from another guest at Manor Club.

There are bike racks throughout the property where you can lock your bikes. As much as it may be a hassle, you can easily get the bikes into the villa via elevator if on the second or third floor. First floor units would just require pedaling down the hall way.

We had hoped to avoid having to store the bikes in the unit, but to save over $300, we just might do that.

Thanks Big Matt.

I would assume that storing bikes in the units is against the rules. If not, it should be. Allowing that in a resort would certainly increase maintenance costs.
