I hope I'm posting this in the right forum. I just have a quick question-- we will be spending a week at the KBC and I don't know where else to find this information. My husband pretty much always has his coffee cup in his hand, so wants to know the type of coffee maker that is in the units since we'll be getting groceries prior to checking in. Does anyone who has been there lately recall?

Also, bonus points and extra thanks if anyone can tell me their current favorite shave ice location in the Kaanapali area.

Many thanks in advance!

When we were there several years ago (before Hilton entered the picture) it was a standard 12 cup drip pot.

It's a standard coffee pot that uses a regular coffee filter. My favorite shaved ice place is Ululanis. Also the resort has a coffee stand next to the pool that makes a pretty good smoothie.

We were there earlier this month and were in two units. Both units had a 12-cup Cuisinart drip coffeemaker, with cone filter. The coffee pot was a carafe; i.e., no hot plate.

There should be a couple of single use coffee packs in the room at check-in. If you are particular about your coffee, i suggest either bring your favorite coffee with you from home or hit a store soon after your arrival.

I believe you can request a hot plate. There was a hot plate in the 2 bdrm but check with the resort.

There is a smallish supermarket about 1 1/2 blocks from the resort. It is well stocked with necessities and local goods- produce, seafood, etc.
