Question on Vistana II Exchange Searches

I have a 2BR lockoff SVV without a confirmed reservation, but I can search picking that unit. How can II know the trading power without knowing the check-in date?

A few in S and VA, a single resort in NC, MD, PA, and UT, plus Jamaica and the Bahamas
If you own a week that is capable of floating, they will give you blended trading power based on all of the weeks in your season.

Vistana deposits the blended season value of the week into II. They do not allow deposits of specific weeks for Vistana unless they are fixed weeks.

Hence they dont require a checkin date for the request.

Follow up question...do I need to contact Vistana first or just deposit the week? And do I need to prepay MFs for 2021 to trade?

I would just deposit online via the Vistana portal. You could also deposit via II.

If you are depositing a 2021 week, you will need to prepay. You can also do this online by paying the estimated mfs for next year.

I'd avoid calling the call center as wait times can be long.
