Question on lockout and banked week

Hi brand spanking new to this and need a question answered. I'm looking at the resale board here for a timeshare 1BR lockout for use between weeks 19 and 42. Now my question is this: If I use 1 week for 1 part of the unit and bank the other for use either the same year or the next is that banked week restricted for use between week 19 and 42 or can it be used at any time depending on availability (and season)?

Part 2 of my question is if one has a 3BR lockout and wants to use the lockout does that mean its a 2BR with a studio lockout or is that 3 1BR's (giving 3 weeks if lockout is used) or does that depend on the resort?

Both answers depend on the resort.

Some resorts let you book the two sides independently. This may be the more common way. There are resorts that require you to book the entire unit as a single week and then lock off the two sides. In this case if you wanted two different weeks you would have to bank one or both.

There are some 3 br's that lock off into 3 separate units either three one bedrooms or a one bedroom and two studios. These are sometimes called double lock offs. Most 3 br lock offs split as a two bedroom plus studio or a two bedroom plus one bedroom.

Sometimes at the same resort they may have more than one configuration of lockoffs. At those resorts, depending on the rules, you may only have the kind that is the same as your deeded unit or you may have a choice-first come first served.
