Good morning, TUGgers,

I own deeded weeks at DRI's Sedona Summit and I have a question for those DRI owners who have gone through a merger/takeover before. Currently Sedona Summit can affiliate with either RCI or II. Given that HGVC only trades in RCI will Sedona Summit owners still be able to trade in II? Or could the acquisition of DRI by HGVC change that? Who would decide where it trades?

Thanks everyone.

Normally, as a week owner, you are grandfathered into whichever system you were in. I was at Powhatan Plantation (RCI when it first started) when Sunterra (which was II based) took over. I stayed under RCI until I finally converted to Diamond points when Diamond took over Sunterra.

There are HGVC resorts that trade in II. Most of the legacy SW Florida Affiliates and Craigendarroch in Scotland have dual enrollment in RCI and II. They were in II before they became part of HGVC. Owners in those resorts have set up and pay for their own accounts. I think there’s a chance those deeds will still have II eligibility.
