Hi,

I've been reading through the past posts of this forum but I do have a specific question. I found a timeshare rental through vacationtimesharerentals.com for between 200-300 week.

http://www.vacationtimesharerentals.com/listings/66163/

I was just wondering if this could be legitimate to be so low for a week. Obviously there will be the daily all-inclusive fee but does this seem like it could be a real offer? Also, when you rent from a person, you pay their price but then you dont have to pay any other daily rate to the hotel other than the all-inclusive fee, correct?

Thanks,
Eric

Hi Eric - Right now there are a lot of cheap rentals, because people can't afford to travel and they are just looking to recoup some of their expenses. If you look at the TUG Last Minute Rental Board, you will see offers with similar asking prices. Usually you pay all of the rent to the owner, and just the AI fee, if there is one, to the resort. However, sometimes there is also a tax or occupancy fee you have to pay to the resort. That is a question you should ask the owner and confirm directly with the resort.

That's an Ad on the website - but not the regular owner's Ad.

I think that all inclusive places generally rent for much less (be it private or as a II Getaway), because when you add up everything you have to pay to the resort it is much more than a non-all inclusive. They are generally good deals if you don't mind staying on property for all your meals and activities. But if you like to explore and find locals hangout type restaurants, like we do, the AI fee ends up making those rentals too much.
