Question About Reserving Platinum Weeks

Hi all,

We’ve been a Gold season owner at NCV for about 15 years (we bought in Phase 1 from the developer). Since then we’ve been able to use the week consistently almost every year and haven’t had any issues reserving the week that we want when booking a year in advance (usually Spring Break week). Now we’d like to purchase a Platinum week on the resale market.

Our concern / question is this: How likely are you to get the week you want if you remember to book a full year in advance? We’d mainly be interested in the Summer months or Thanksgiving. We’re worried that if we wait until November to book Thanksgiving and are unable to get it we’ve basically lost that year…

Any feedback?

Thanks, Al

There are lots of threads about booking summer months at NCV if you search. Summary: its really hard.

As for Thanksgiving, if you don't get it, there still will be other weeks available in your season as they cannot over-reserve, but will likely be the LEAST desirable in your season.

I am no expert on NCV. However, from what I have read here, the difficulty is getting what you want in the summer because of the long platinum season there. I would think that you should be able to get Thanksgiving without too much trouble if you reserve 12 months ahead.
