Question about reservation - cancel or deposit?

I hope everyone is staying safe/healthy! Asking for advice.
Question - due to COVID-19 my job has cancelled my vacation request for July 3-10.
We have a owner week reservation at Manor Club Sequel (Williamsburg) (2 bedroom).
Are we better off cancelling with MVC or depositing week in Interval (assuming trade value is pretty low at this point)?
If we cancel week with Marriott, will I have to rebook this year? Per job, earliest I can rebook is September but our kids will be back in school.
Is there a way we can see what is available at Manor Club before cancelling?
Doubt renting the week will be successful.

Call MVC to see what is available. If you can’t travel later in the year anyway then depositing to II might be your only choice.At least then you will have 2 years to use it.

I think your trading power will be pretty good in II given July 4th week. I don't know if you can still split it, but you may want to do so and deposit the studio and 1BR. There are tons of availability at Manor Club and Sequel September through October on II. My experience (as an owner of MSE) is that both studio and 1BR trade very well using that week/season.

Thank you! I can call and try to split the 2 bedroom into a 1 bed and studio. Do you think the trade power will be decent, as we are less than 3 months from check in?
I have had some great trades with MSE in past, but it was much farther out.
 
The trading power of a July 4th week should be good BUT with the whole covid19 thing, who really knows anything ;)
 
You could also change reservation to farther out- sept/oct and then deposit just to give yourself more time to use it.

Thanks everyone. I called Marriott and locked off our week and deposited into II. Lock off fee is now $90. Small price to pay considering. So many people have been severely affected by COVID-19. Praying for everyone and hoping this passes soon. Please stay safe!
