Question about RCI immediately available confirmations

Hello,
I have never done the immediately available confirmation of an RCI timeshare without doing a hold first. Like when a unit is available in the next 2 weeks, the only option is to Confirm it. Is it REALLY confirmed or do you still get the 24 hrs but must call in to cancel? Just wondering in case I ever find something

You can confirm and cancel up until midnight Eastern time of the following day for a full refund. I have done this many times. It does take a few days for the CC refund to process, but it always happens.

If the exchange is within 3 days of check In the exchange is normally non refundable even within 24 hrs. The covid policy lets you cancel up until day of check in but the exchange fee would become a coupon on your account.

When you click to confirm a week,, Click "book with confidence" which is above the continue button, it will give you your cancellation window.

Thank you everyone! Very helpful information--now I'll be ready when a great one pops up and I have to quickly decide and work out details...at least it gives me a little time.
Do you know if it can be cancelled online (within the allotted timeframe or does it have to be called in to RCI when it's in this status)?

For straight Weeks you can do it online. Not sure about Points or the various mini-system portals. For some reason I remember having to call to cancel one made via Wyndham’s portal, but don’t quote me.
