For a stay this summer we are being offered a unit buildings 1 through 4. I was leaning towards building 4 because its closer to the main pool area but I was wondering about noise from the smaller pool and waterfall.

For anyone who has stayed in buildings 3 or 4, is the noise from the smaller pool/waterfall bothersome when sitting on the balcony ? We will be on the second floor. Which building would you choose ? Thanks for any help.

Where are you getting this offer from, RCI? I have an RCI exchange in May and have not been offered a building choice, although I know they put exchangers in 1-4.

Furthest from 1 is best, the maintenance building and laundry is next to 1, its always busy around that building. 3-4 is good, we used that pool more than the main one, it was handy for BBQ and hot tubbing in the evenings.

In our experience, a few years ago, the pool near bld 3 was virtually unused.
Everyone went to the superpool. Our children swam in the bld 3 pool the last night, while we prepared dinner on the barbecue, and ate at the nearby picnic tables. They were the only ones there. Bld 3 or 4 would be excellent. Bld 1 was a trek to the superpool and common area.

There is no way to guarantee the building number other than being in Phase 1 (buildings 1 - 11) or Phase 2 (buildings 21 and 22). But there is no other way to "pick" your building. Who's telling you that you have the choice of 1 - 4? And don't stay in 1......that's a hike to the main pool. And the pool near building 4 is never used so there won't be any noise.

Last July we stayed in building 4, 2nd floor.
You are asking a very good question regarding the noise!
We were directly across from the pool (good size, but no comparison to the super pool) or, more precise, across from its waterfall.
We enjoyed the room immensely, in particular the lanai with its nice and comfy seating.
The peaceful breakfast there every morning was great- until the waterfall started (I think at 10am) operating.
While the noise may be pleasing to some, it was rather dominant for me and took away the tranquility of the lanai with its nice view over the golf course and the various wild life which one can observe.

I agree with Dave, the 1st floor is probably the best. And the resort was exceptionally clean, we had a good time.

Enjoy your stay.

Thank you all for the information. We have a disabled child and the resort is being fantastic in helping to determine a unit location rather than take up an accessible unit if we dont have to.
